Footwear Designer
Type/ Location: Full-time, Sheraton
Tam’s Shoemaker is looking for a creative and driven Footwear Designer to join the team full-time and contribute to the development of distinctive, commercially relevant footwear collections.
The role will be responsible for taking footwear concepts from initial inspiration through design development, while balancing creativity, brand identity, market trends, and product functionality.
Job Description:
Research global footwear, fashion, lifestyle, and consumer trends to identify relevant design opportunities.
Develop original footwear concepts, moodboards, sketches, colorways, and design directions for upcoming collections.
Translate creative ideas into clear technical designs and product specifications for development and production.
Select and propose appropriate materials, colors, finishes, trims, and construction details.
Collaborate closely with the production and development teams throughout sampling and product development.
Review prototypes and samples, providing design adjustments to achieve the desired fit, look, quality, and functionality.
Ensure designs remain aligned with Tam’s brand identity while continuously introducing fresh and relevant ideas.
Contribute to building a strong and recognizable footwear design language for the brand.
Take ownership of projects from concept through final product, working within agreed timelines and collection objectives.
Job Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in footwear or fashion.
Strong awareness of global trends.
A creative mindset & fresh ideas.
Ambition, passion & ownership.
A genuine desire to build something.
